 
ASTRAL CORDS are energetical connections which tie 2 entities together, and through the cords energy is exchanged. There are, without doubt, high-vibe variations of the theme in existence, however here I am talking about the kind of astral cords which are rather low-vibe and involve a mutual stealing of karmic information. That is the most common kind of astral cords one encounters with humans, cause somehow, somewhen, when we dropped in density, this became the fashion, it became a common means of exchange between humans, and it is highly detrimental to the ascension process of the involved entities. To cut a long cord short, usually both entities take from each other through this energetical connection, and the exchange usually isn´t balanced, when one looks at it subjectively. One of the partners is sucking, the other is being drained. - Of course, if one doesn´t look subjectively, both exchange the same amount of energy, and both get what they want on a subconscious level - it all stems from the belief systems of the involved persons, for instance, one person might wish to care for another and be needed, and will thus take the other person´s heart chakra energy and wield it as his/her own, while the other person wishes to supress any feelings of the heart, so both get what they want - it is, of course, not healthy to have such an exchange. - The theory is that each entity needs all of its own chi to ascend. Thus, any karmic data exchange serves to tie the ascending person down. It doesn´t matter whether the cords are established out of love or out of any other feeling/emotion, fact is, the result is not helping anyone in the long run. So, the wisest thing you can do when you notice such a connection between you and someone else is the following: CUTTING ASTRAL CORDS First you locate where the cords are; you will feel, in your physical body, either a tugging sensation or pressure or another icky feeling, when you think of the person(s) or situation(s) which you would like to disconnect from. So, this is where the cords (usually there are more than just one cord) are attached. You close your eyes if you haven´t done so already, and see those cords (how exactly they are seen is individual, you can notcie details such as sticky, thick, thin, a color, and so on) going out from your chakra(s). Now follow one cord, and in the middle of it between you and the other person/situation you find a contract. Burn it. Then retrace your steps, step back into your body, and cut the cord with your astral scissors. Set the loose cord on fire and watch it burn to the middle where the contract has been. Put some soothing energy onto the spot where the cord protruded from your body, and seal up the hole itleft in your aura, so you won´t leak. If you feel it is necessary you can also put an extra shield over the spot to prevent re-attachment. Repeat this with every cord you find. AFTER THE CORDS ARE CUT you may run the risk of experiencing certain re-actions from the people you´ve cut loose, in 3D encounters or astrally. They want to hold on to their accustomed energetical exchange and will try to re-attach the cords. Usually some sort of guilty feeling is induced to achieve this, to make you willing to accept the cords into your energy fields again. It can also be less subtle. To forestall this, visit the person astrally. ASTRAL VISIT Locate the person astrally, by thinking of her/him and picking up her/his vibes. Move in the direction where you feel the person must be (as in, left, right, up, down - you don´t need a geographical 3D location). Your intent is to approach the higher self of this person. As you come closer, you will maybe see the astral form of the person, however more importantly you will encounter a wall, which marks the border of this person´s personal realm. Approach the wall, but don´t mount it. Behind this wall is the higher Self of the person, and you either see it right away, or call to it to please come and talk to you. Now you start talking to it over the wall. (to go over the wall would mean you trespass the person´s personal borders, so don´t do it.) Explain in some detail the situation as it is between you and the cord-person, and be very honest, don´t try to twist things, lay your heart bare and state matter-of-factly how it is. Then suggest your solutions (you might think of something the other person might do instead of getting on your nerves, maybe point out another suitable direction which the other person could take and which would in all probability please the other person), and state very clearly that you wish to end this corded state for good, and that you do not wish to experience any ramifications or backlashes of any sort with the person, neither in 3D nor otherwise, not on any level, you want it to end in a clean cut. Ask the higher self for help with this, and ask it to offer a solution in which you will not be approached with another cord by this person. Your wish will be granted. Give your thanks, and retreat. Over the next 2 weeks - 1 month or so, be alert, and ready to reject any subtle approaches or requests by clearly stating your intent immediately (you do not need to actually say that to the person in 3D, that you´ve cut the cords, lol, but your spoken words must be in alignment with your inner intent), and the intent should be: No, no way, I do not wish to accept any cords at all, under no circumstances, thank you for the offer, blessed be. The blessing part is insofar important as it implies that you no longer hold any grudges, or other hard feelings towards the person. You must be very aware that it took 2 to tango, and that the consent was and is always mutual. You made a contract, both signed it, no blame, no regrets. RECLAIMING ONE´S CHI After you have gone through this initial cleansing you might wish to start a long-term process by reclaiming your chi/energy on all levels, and at the same time returning all chi which you might have accidentally/unconsciously taken. This is only recommended if you´re serious about your ascension, because all hell will break loose, energetically, and it is a rough process, which of course also provides multiple opportunities for deep insights and states of heightened spiritual awareness. Your choice. If you have landed here you will eventually have to let go of all energetical attachments, to progress further on your spiritual path. All you have to do is state your intent as follows (or similar, adjust the words as you see fit; it helps to say it out loud): I hereby reclaim my power: I hereby reclaim all my chi on all levels of existence, and return all chi which does not belong to me, on all levels of existence. That´s it. Of course you have to be firm and clear in your intent and you must be aware that it will involve letting go of various people and situations and also things. Make a point of feeling your intent throughout your being, and letting go of all resistance you might feel surfacing as you make your statement. It is a good idea to repeat this statement at least once a day as long as the process lasts (and that can be months), better twice, in the morning before getting up and in the evening before going to sleep. make sure your intent is well rooted so that when you encounter the consequences of your request you will be able to accept them and go with them, instead of holding on and refusing to let go (that would eventually bring the process to a halt). Be aware of the responses you get both in meditation and trance, and in everyday life, and embrace change.  CONTACTING ONE´S GUIDES: Basically the degree of contact you have a guide/guides depends on the degree of the changing process you´re going through. If you´re not much into your spiritual mission and path you don´t need a very direct or very active contact with a higher-dimensional being. The more involved you get the more involved you´ll be with your guides. If the changes you´re going through are becoming more drastic, you´ll need more guidance more often, and more specific assistance, as in, guides specifically qualified to help you with the process you´re going through. Thus, your guides can change as you progress, you can outgrow a guide. So, an intensified guide-contact requires your willingness to work on yourself and to change and transform yourself, and to carry out your mission and dedicate yourself to your spiritual path. So, it all boils down to openness, acceptance of higher tasks and mission, willingness to transform and a loud, firm yes to any opportunities for deeper contact presented during trance/meditation. If you know you have asked for a guide to show up, for help and guidance, and still you have not made conscious contact, then look within: where do you need to transform yourself to be ready to accept guidance? Somewhere you are resisting, somehwere there´s an inner barrier. Work on that until it is cleared, and you can honestly sense that you are ready and willing throughout your being. The quality and depth of information you get from your guides also depends on the degree of your willingness/desire to change. They will provide you with the kind of data you´re likely to apply, it´s as simple as that. It´s your choice to turn down or accept offers (however veiled and subtle, your job to discern) which can lead you a step further. (They are, at times, veiled and subtle because then you will not make a mental decision about it and accept it just cause you think it´s a good idea; if an offer is made in a subtle way where you don´t suspect it to have long-term far-reaching implications you will give an honest authentic answer which comes from your open inner being un-inhibited by mental attitudes, analyzing and belief-systems.) Note that guides usually appear in a disguise which is pleasant to you so as to avoid shocking you. Thus it also depends on your degree of acceptance and on the rigidity of your belief-systems whether you see your guides´ true form or a disguise. As you progress and let go of restrictions and expectations concerning your guides appearance an unveiling takes place in degrees, slowly working up to your guide´s true form and revealing more and more facts.
