Things I've learned through
my mistakes
Building
a site
So
you decided to build your site. Great. The first thing you must
think of is: what type of site do you want? What you are
going to do next depends on this decision. Any site I can think
of will fit in one of these three types:
Type
#1. A personal site intended only to show the pictures of your
kids/cats/dogs/lizards to your family and friends.
Type
#2. You are a Star Trek/Star Wars/whatever fan and want to make
a personal but wonderful professional-looking site and proudly
show it to the whole world.
Type #3. You want a commercial site, intended
to make you a lot of money.
Well now that you know what type of site you
want it's time to put hands to work and make it. Here you have
another decision to make. Your have three options:
| Option a): |
You don't know what the heck HTML code means , you don't
intend to know it and you hate who knows.
If you intend to make a #2 or #3 type of site... just
forget about it. But you can make the type #1. Just go get
a free space in a free host (like this one) and use the
online site builder to make your pages online. Be careful.
Some of the free host's site builders are not graphic and
you'll have to know HTML. See if they offer a test drive
and take it. (If you'd like to take our test drive get to
the site login box at right and type this info: username=myhome
password=test2)

You may get a free space in any free host (like
my own) and use their site builder to make your pages online.
Option b): You learn HTML code
Now
you have two options:
